FAMILY OFFICE

A new approach to Asset Management

A key feature of ALENA is its original approach, that of a "multi family office".

This approach translates in practice into a restricted number of clients ("personal services"), and in a range of services that goes beyond simple portfolio management to encompass all the various aspects of asset management ("one stop shopping") excluding any possible conflict of interest ("buy side only"). By its very nature, ALENA aims to assist clients for whom the size of their assets justifies a tailor-made approach.

ALENA defines its mission in relation to four fundamental pillars:

  • Independence : ALENA is a company founded and run by a group of private investors who have no links with other financial groups and are actively involved in developing the company.
  • Excellence : ALENA offers to a selected group of clients the asset management expertise, which is demanded by the institutional investors (such as a multi-manager approach, the importance of benchmarking to measure performance, a professional fee structure, etc.), within a long-term horizon and a global approach to financial markets.
  • Absence of conflict of interest : ALENA provides a service to the exclusive benefit of its clients. It does not receive any remuneration other than the one originated from its activity as manager and adviser. ALENA is not prepared to be an agent or distributor of third party's products. The holding of assets or the execution of orders is entrusted to third party providers under the most favourable conditions for our clients ("outsourcing").
  • The security of assets entrusted : the functions of custodian and manager are separated under the law applicable to stockbroking companies. The custody of client's assets is made by primary financial institutions, the diversification of risks is ensured with the rigorous selection and monitoring of independent managers. ALENA's clients enjoy the highest degree of security both in terms of safekeeping and of asset management.
